LOVE by Calvin Miller

What is LOVE?

The book Love by Calvin Miller is a 6 week study guide for individual or group discussions.  This book will show you the true meaning of Love the way God intended it to be. Love is a great guide on showing how to truly love the way God has loved. This book goes along with the rest of Calvin Miller’s Fruit of the Spirit Study Guide Series.

This book was very interesting to me because it showed me how the world has completely misused the word love. We are caught saying we love food or sports and in the next sentence how we love our friends and family and how we love God.  We use love to describe almost everything and the book LOVE proves that that is not how God intended it to be used.  This book challenges you to try and fully grasp the meaning of love and how it should be used and showed.  Every week it gives you a new challenge of seeing a different way of how God shows love. I would definitely recommend this book for people who are doing group studies or individuals who want to grasp a greater meaning of the fruits of the spirit.

The Faith of Ronald Reagan by Mary Beth Brown

The biography The Faith of Ronald Reagan by Mary Beth Brown gives us an insight to the religious beliefs and thought of Reagan throughout his entire life.  With reading this book you will find that Reagan was instilled with strong beliefs in God at a young age through his mother. This book portrays that in every position that God put him in throughout his life he always aspired to glorify God.
I found this book to be a very easy read.  It enlightened me by showing me how to glorify God through every situation.  This book doesn’t go in depth about his presidency but it does go deeper in to his faith than any other biography that I have read. I enjoyed reading it and getting to see how Reagan’s faith led him to the many different career aspects of throughout his life.  I recommend this book for  any adult who enjoys biographies and to anyone who wants to read about a man who uses his Christian values in every aspect of his life.
